All details regarding collection, dates and lists of suitable material may be viewed on the club website. Also flyers with relevant details have been distributed in the area.
All offers of suitable items will be very much appreciated and can be collected by contacting club members listed below, or any club member. The scrap can also be dropped off at the collection/storage point – Cummins’ Hardware, New St, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.
The date of the collection is Saturday, October 8th, 2011, but items can be left into Cummins’ immediately. The collection contacts are 087 1738 137, and 087 644 1362, or any club member.
Below is a table of the list of acceptable materials split into two categories – domestic and agricultural/industrial. A leaflet was distributed around the parish recently with this list of materials.
Domestic metals:
Saucepans, Steel Kettles, Toasters, Brass Fittings/Ornaments, Ironing Boards, Electric Cookers, Go Karts, Golf Irons, Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Sink Tops, Goal Posts, Radiators, Copper, Steel Oil Tanks, Steel Fireplaces, Coal Bunker Boilers, Steel Garden Furniture, Steel House, Bicycles, Filing Cabinets, Electrical Cable, Swing Frames, Trampolines.
Agricultural/Industrial Metals:

The following materials will not be accepted: Gas Cylinders, Beer Barrels, Fridges, TVs, Tyres and Timber
Adrian Flannery (Ballinrobe GAA Club), Peter McHugh (Ballinrobe RFC), and Paddy McTigue (Ballinrobe Town AFC) are the contestants who will seek to replace long-serving Mayor Buckley.
The three sports clubs have teamed up to hold the Mayor Contest over the coming months. It will conclude on the weekend of November 5th-7th.
