Caherlistrane were the inaugural winners of the Friends of Darragh senior sevens tournament held in Cong on Saturday, defeating Ballinrobe in the final by 1-10 to 0-7.
Our team played superbly throughout the day despite being relative novices in the highly-specialised sevens game.
The event, which was widely supported, was organised by The Neale GAA club in conjunction with the family of the late Darragh Walsh, and the money raised will be devoted to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
