Minors march into South Final

THE Ballinrobe U-18s will take on Davitts in the South Minor ‘B’ championship final this Friday, September 2, at 6.45pm in Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe.
They qualified for the decider when they overcame the challenge of Mayo Gaels by 4-9 to 0-17 at home last week.
Displaying a capacity to get goals when needed, Ballinrobe led by 3-3 to 0-7 and that advantage was extended to 13 points in the third quarter.
Mayo Gaels, however, inspired by Adam Gallagher, fought back resolutely, and reduced the deficit to three points before James Quinn countered with a late Ballinrobe point.
Conor Warde, James Quinn, Thomas Laurence, David O’Connor, Brendan Murphy, Darren McDonnell and David Murphy impressed for Ballinrobe.
The best of luck to the players and management in the final from all their supporters!
