Mayo Gaels scored a decisive win over Ballinrobe, prevailing by 3-13 to 2-7, in Division Two of the Mayo Minor football league at Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe, on Wednesday evening last.
Goals from Damien Murphy and Gerry Canavan (2) left the visitors comfortably positioned at the interval, 3-6 to 1-3, and though Ballinrobe did exert more pressure in the second half, the outcome was never in doubt.
Mayo Gaels: Gerry Canavan 2-7, Damien Murphy 1-0, John Gallagher 0-3, Francis Regan 0-2, Calum Henry 0-1.
Ballinrobe: Kevin Quinn 2-4, Peter Walsh 0-2, Dermot Doran 0-1.
