Kerry and Mayo fans urged to arrive early

NUACHT RÁITEAS MEDIA RELEASE 29ú Lúnasa 2014 Supporters urged to arrive early for Kerry-Mayo Semi-Final Replay Supporters attending Saturday’s GAA Football All-Ireland Championship semi-final replay between Kerry and Mayo at the Gaelic Grounds (Páirc na nGael) are strongly advised to travel early with turnstiles open from 3pm (throw-in 5pm). Supporters can avail of pre-match entertainment from the Artane Band at 4.15pm, while supporters will also get the opportunity to meet with GAA Mascot Fionn and get some #NothingBeatsBeingThere photos. Ticket Information A limited number of tickets remain on sale, with tickets available for purchase from selected Supervalu and Centra stores and from the ground. Those collecting pre-purchased tickets are advised to arrive early at the Gaelic Grounds. Road Closures: Road Closures/ diversions will be likely to apply from 2pm onwards at the following locations; · Ennis Rd. at its junction with Ivan’s Cross – traffic will be diverted to Northern Ring Road and towards Clonmacken · Ennis Rd. at its junction with Sarsfield Bridge – traffic will be diverted along Clancy Strand. O’Callaghan Strand will be closed off to traffic. · Condell Road/ Lower Shelbourne Road – traffic will not be permitted to travel onto North Circular Road or onto Shelbourne Road. · Shelbourne Road/ Hassetts Cross – no traffic will be permitted to travel up Shelbourne Road · Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Drive · Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Upper · Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Upper & LIT Roundabout (Merval Pk) Road Closures/ diversions will be likely to apply from 3pm onwards at the following locations; · Coonagh Roundabout – Closed to all inbound traffic from 3pm. Divert onto the Condell Road for Parking in City Centre. Parking Supporters can park on and off street, in and adjacent to Limerick City Centre, and are advised to allow ample time to walk to the Gaelic Grounds. Special off street match parking tariffs including overnight parking will be available at City Centre car parks. Disabled Parking will be available at the Ryan Hotel Ennis Road Limerick. Match attendants are advised that obstructive vehicle parking will be subject to tow-away operations. Girls football – change of arrangements

There is a change of arrangements for our girls footballers this weekend. The U8 girls play The Neale girls at 9.30am on Saturday in Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe. All players are asked to be at the pitch at 9.10am. The U10s and U12s will therefore have their weekly Academy at 10.30am, instead of the usual 9.30am. If you are not getting texts about girls games, please email secretary.ballinrobe.mayo with your name, the child’s name, and your mobile number.

No Ballinrobe winners, alas, in Mayo GAA monthly draw

From Mayo GAA Board: A Chara Last night the third of our Club Development Draws for 2014 was hosted by the Executive and a group of the Members of Moygownagh GAA Club. The draw was held following the distribution of Cairde Mhaigh Eo tickets for North Mayo Patrons at the Community Centre at Moygownagh GAA Grounds. We wish to express congratulations to Johnny Cummins, Ballygowan, Claremorris who was the winner of the top prize of €5,000.00. Work to kick off on club coaching plan

Work on Ballinrobe GAA club’s Coaching Plan is about to kick off, last night’s meeting of the club Executive Committee was told. A significant number of meetings will take place between now and the official launch on Friday, November 28th. It is hoped that the plan will chart the way for coaching in the club for the next five years. Further details will be announced shortly.

Croker trip was a big success

Last night’s meeting of Ballinrobe GAA club Executive Committee heard that the recent trip to Croke Park by our U14 team was a success. The team attended the All-Ireland quarter-final triple-header, and they had the joy of first seeing Mayo defeat Armagh in the minor clash, followed by the seniors victory over Cork. Club chairman Alan Flannery thanked Tom Carney and John Burke for organising the trip. In return, Tom thanked the club for the donation towards the costs.
