A ‘get behind the lads’ day

Today (Saturday, July 19th) is a real ‘get behind the lads’ day. We can’t qualify for the quarter-finals for the Mayo SFC, but we can avoid a relegation battle. That’s why we need as many supporters as possible for our clash with Kiltane at 7o’c in Bangor Erris. Kiltane always get a good crowd at home: so let’s make a special effort to rally our troops to make the journey. We wish the team every luck. Broadband permitting, we will have Twitter, Facebook and Audioboo updates from the game. You can access all of these directly from the relevant platforms, or elsewhere on our home page. You will need to refresh this page to allow updates to flow in. And good luck to our under-are players who have their Saturday morning Skills Academy at 9.30am. New participants are always welcome, and after a record crowd at the Cúl Camp during the week, we are expecting a few new faces this morning. They’ll be made to feel at home. The U8s are away to Davitts this morning, another big outing.

All from today’s Cul Camp at Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe. Interviews HERE Pix HERE Last year 110 children took part. That was a record until then – this year, the figure has increased by a whopping 30. That bodes well for the future of GAA in this area – and Martin Costello, Camp Co-ordinator, spoke about noticing improved skills among the local contingent again this year. The camp continues for the rest of the week. The pix are high-resolution if you wish to download and print.
