Training day and times U6’s Boys and Girls Saturday 9am to 10am in Lakeside U8’s Boys and Girls Saturday morning 10.15am to 11.15am in Lakeside U10’s Boys Indoor Pella Friday evenings 6pm to 8pm Click here for U10 Pella schedule Players need to wear runners, bring gum shields and water. Cost for indoor training is €2. Please note that Parents/Guardians will receive notification of any changes to training by text message for all registered players. Drop off and collection: Please note that it is club policy to have children dropped off and picked up by an adult from training. Children are NOT PERMITTED to leave unless collected by an adult. Gum shields are mandatory for players in all age grades. New players are very welcome to come up and see what we do. New coaches are very welcome too!!!

By Annette Conway, PRO Robe Rockets Our Robe Rockets training kicks off with the start of the Boys U10 Pella League on Friday 17th February in the Lakeside Sports and Fitness Centre. There is a charge of €12 to cover the 6 week court rental payable on arrival on Friday 17th. Please consult team sheet and schedule to determine what time your son will be playing each week. Each team has been assigned a coach to nurture team identity and encourage a consistent coaching message week on week. Player drop off and collection: Players please arrive 10 minutes before kick-off time and go to the Racquetball court . After the match players will be ready to be collected 40 minutes later from the Racquetball court.. Players are not allowed upstairs to viewing area without a Parent, no exception. We would be grateful for your cooperation with this matter. Games have to start and finish on time to facilitate the four games in the allotted two hours. Ballinrobe Bord na nOg has announced the following football management teams for 2017: U12 – Kevin Gilrane, Mike Jennings, Sean Flannelly, Johnny Coyne; U14 – Alan Flannery, Pat Kennedy, Adrian Flannery; U16 – Tom Carney, John Fitzpatrick; U18 – Peter Staunton, Kevin Murphy, David Colleran. Other names may be added later. The U12s will resume activities with a Pella League in February. U14s and U16s will begin training on the astro-turf pitch. Dear Club Members, This coming Saturday, 14th January, Ballinrobe GAA is club is getting together to get our facilities ready for another busy calendar. With the great numbers we now possess it is essential that the clubs facilities are provided in the best possible condition. What is going to happen this weekend, is that on Saturday morning at 10.00am, all club members, mentors, players and parents are being asked to be at Flanagan Park at 10.00am whereby everyone is to get together and carry out a general tidy up around the pitch and surrounding areas including the dressing rooms, stores, kitchen area and bathrooms. The equipment cages will also be tidied up, with some being moved out and each teams equipment and gear being sorted out in advance of the year commencing. So please make an effort to come out this Saturday at 10.00am and help start the year off on the right foot, all are welcome so bring any help you can find along the way.

By Annette Conway, PRO Robe Rockets Congratulations to our U6 and U8 Robe Rockets who had their end of season presentation on Saturday 3rd December. Stephen Rochford, Mayo Manager was our Guest of honour for the afternoon and was greeted on arrival with cheers and chants of “Stephen, Stephen”. Our U6 and U8 Robe Rockets were presented with a Certificate of Achievement from Stephen and after the Team photo each player received a Selection box. Robe Rockets would like to thank Stephen Rochford for kindly accepting our invitation and to Ballinrobe Community School for allowing us to host the event in the hall. We would like to thank all those who helped with the U6 and U8 Robe Rockets in 2016, from Coach’s to Sponsors to Parents to Committee members, to the washing of the bibs and jerseys and to all for encouraging these young players to come and enjoy Gaelic Football in our Club. On the form the customer nominates their GAA club They will also need to submit their policy number Payments to clubs will be made after the policy has been in place for 3 months and payments will begin in March 2017.
