We defeated Garrymore by 1-9 to 0-10 in the O’Mara Cup yesterday, listen to full report in our Audioboos section of this site. Next Sunday, at 2.30pm, we are at away to Shrule-Glencorrib in the second round of the O’Mara Cup. Referee is Johnny Burke, Hollymount-Carramore. Please note, the game will take place in Glencorrib, and not Shrule as we reported earlier in the week. And the time is 2.30pm, and not 12noon – the game has been changed as a mark of respect to the late Jim Kierans, whose funeral Mass takes place at 11.30am in St Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe. Full Mayo GAA fixtures for the week are here: Mayo GAA Fixtures Feb. 12-24 2013

We wish Ballinrobe Musical Society every success with their staging of Evita, starting tomorrow night, Saturday (February 9th). As always, we will play our part by supplying some people to help out with the car-parking each night. If you can do your bit, please let Liam Horan know the exact night(s) you can make it – secretary.ballinrobe.mayo@gaa.ie Already a few club members have volunteered. Ideally, we would like to supply at least one club member per night, so please make a special effort to help out.
