Phew!
Time to catch some breath after a hectic weekend in Ballinrobe.
Well done to the Queen of the Lakes festival committee who put together a busy and entertaining programme of events – they even managed to organise it that the €6m National Lottery jackpot would be won in Ballinrobe during the festival.
In the GAA club, we were delighted to play our part by staging the Christy O’Loughlin Memorial Cup for the first time. A full report is available elsewhere on this site.
Hopefully the festival will continue to be an annual event from now on – though we do not for one minute underestimate the amount of work the committee had to put in to make it all possible. We are particularly grateful to organiser Monica Horan for the support she offered us as we staged our under 12 tournament on Saturday.
