It’s all over for another year as the 2nd week of Cúl Camp concluded. There was a fantastic turnout for both camps with 265 kids participating. A fun filled two weeks was had by all with great skills and talent on display. A big thank you to all involved and to Kevin McLoughlin, Mayo Senior Player who visited both camps. Early signs of the rivalry ahead of Mayo’s 💚❤ U20’s All Ireland Final surfaced as a number of Kildare jerseys were spotted on the last day of camp. Our U9/10/11’s were not too impressed especially with Club and Mayo star Evan O’Brien present. Well done to all.

Great fun and activity at Week One of Cúl Camp with 95 kids participating. Special thanks to Kevin McLoughlin, Mayo Senior Player for the visit yesterday, the children were delighted to see him. Lots of skill and talent on display so far and its only Day 3. Roll on more fun for next week in our Second Cúl Camp which is now fully booked.
Congrats to our U14’s on their win in U14 A Championship Quarter Final. They face Westport in the Semi Final on Thursday 12th July at 7pm in Westport. Result: Ballinrobe 2-18 Castlebar Mitchels 3-10 It was a great game, both teams fighting to the bitter end and a huge well done to both teams on a spirited game of football. By Annette Conway, PRO Robe Rockets Its been a busy few months for our youngest members of the Club with 150 boys and girls under the age of 10 training each week. Both our U10 Boys and U8’s Girls and Boys have played a number of Go Game matches and this week we played the Neale at U8 and U10’s. A sincere thanks on behalf of all the Coaches and Robe Rocket Committee to all within the Club who help out with referring at these matches as it allows our Coaches to mentor the children. A picture from our U10 Boys match against the Neale Last weekend at Robe Rockets our U10’s had ice lollies to cool down on Friday evening and our U6’s got biscuits while they took shelter in the stand to dry off on Saturday morning however our U8’s had a surprise visit at the end of training … Mayo Players Diarmuid O’Connor and Stephen Coen popped in to say hello and spread a bit of sunshine and inspiration on an otherwise very wet Saturday morning in the Lough. A very special thanks to Diarmuid and Stephen for taking the time to answer our Rockets questions, sign jerseys and pose for pictures #localheroesmayogaa. Thanks to Joseph Burke and all at J.J. Burke Car Sales for the surprise. Training continues for our U6’s on Saturday mornings, twice a week for our U8’s on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning and U10’s on Tuesday and Friday evening. The future is bright.

Both our U14’s and Minors played Kilmeena recently in their respective League fixtures last week. Our U14’s were involved in a keenly closely contested match and narrowly lost. Our Minors continued their winning ways and were comfortable finding the net to seal a home victory. Well done lads.
