Eoin was selected as one of 6 lucky winners by All Ireland Football sponsors, AIB. Eoin is son of Colm and Emma Jennings, a family heavily involved in the Club. Enjoy your special day from us all. As we all know, Ballinrobe is strongly represented in the Mayo set-up that will go toe-to-toe with Dublin in the All-Ireland senior football final on Sunday week – we have four club members involved. Donal Vaughan is, once again, a member of the Mayo team, just as he has been consistently for the past number of years. Donal plays his club football with Ballinrobe, and is a successful local businessperson – Vaughan Shoes are also long-time supporters and sponsors of Ballinrobe GAA club. Stephen Rochford, the manager, is a native of Crossmolina, but he is living and married in Ballinrobe. His brother Maurice, who starred with Ballinrobe for many years, and managed Limerick footballers for three years, is head of the video analysis & stats team. Maurice lives in Tralee, Co. Kerry. Their father Billy is our veteran club PRO, of course. We wish all four – and the entire Mayo operation – every success Safe travelling to all hitting the road, and we hope all Club Members enjoy the weekend. Ballinrobe GAA Club Ballinrobe, Co. Major boost as team win away to Belmullet

By Billy Horan, Club PRO Ballinrobe made a rewarding visit to Belmullet on Sunday when getting the better of the home side by 1-5 to 1-3 in Division 1B of the Mayo senior football league. Gale-force winds led to severe physical conditions for the contestants and Ballinrobe led by 1-1 to 0-3 at the break, with Darren McDonnell executing the goal. Belmullet, boosted by a Jason Boylan goal, strove earnestly to rectify matters in the second half, but excellent kicking of long-range points by McDonnell kept Ballinrobe in front. Other Ballinrobe players to perform well were Shane Biggins, James Murphy, Kevin Quinn and Conor Keane.
