Our Brennan Cup (South Mayo under 21 championship) clash with Claremorris, scheduled to to place tomorrow evening, Tuesday, has been postponed until further notice.

Safe travelling to all who are making the trek today. We have ‘skin in the game’ in both Mayo games – Padraic Costello Jnr is a Mayo junior selector (Junior with the juniors) while Donie Vaughan plays for Mayo seniors and Fergal Costello is a member of the backroom team. We wish all three – and both Mayo teams – every success. And, to keep the home fires burning, we are still looking for a few to do a Church Gate collection for the Disabled Drivers Association tomorrow morning. Let Liam Horan know if you can do it. For obvious, unavoidable reasons, we will not be taking up this collection this evening. See you all in Applegreen, where the miracle of the loaves and fishes is re-enacted every championship Sunday, and not a word at all about it.

Our O’Mara Cup play-off game v Hollymount-Carramore, scheduled for this Sunday evening, has been postponed.It is hoped to play the game at some point in the next fortnight.

This coming Saturday, Mayo travel to Croke Park to take on Donegal in the All Ireland Quarter Final. Kieran Biggins is providing a ticket plus transport deal, with the bus leaving Ballinrobe at 1.00pm sharp. The cost of the bus and entry ticket to Croke Park to the match is €35. Anyone interested who wishes to reserve a place should contact Kieran on 087 2705050 to book their place, early bookings are advisable.
