Dates and venues are mainly finalized with a full listing attached and also able to view online. To view timetable please log on to www.mayosports.ie/news   If you are interested in being a community sports leader organising activities which would be fun and non sports specific then the Active Leader might interest you. This Friday evening and all day Saturday course is Irish Sports Council accredited and will take place on the weekend of the 29th and 30th March with participants taught the skills of communication, observation and group management.  Also included in the comprehensive schedule is walking and cycling leader training in February / March at dates yet to be finalised. Following the huge interest generated by the Operation Get Active Mayo programme co-ordinated by the Partnership there is significant interest amongst communities to get leaders trained to lead activities locally. The Western People West of Ireland Womens Mini Marathon will be launched by Mayor of Castlebar Cllr Noreen Heston on Thursday 13th February at Lough Lannagh Holiday Village Castlebar. The event now in its 5th Year will be once again sponsored by Connaught Gold and will have Olympic Silver Medallist Sonia O Sullivan on board. A highlight this year will be the addition of a kids Mini Mini Marathon ie 2K fun event. More details later. If you are interested in any of the above mentioned training you should register your interest as soon as possible with the Partnership as places are limited.  All courses are subsidized and participants can book their places on this and other courses events by contacting the office at 094-9047025 or email msp@mayococo.ie Full details are here: Spring 2014 course programme.doc
