John Bradley is one of the chief organisers of a Table Quiz in aid of Special Olympics on Thursday week, May 9, in Costello’s Bar, Abbey Street, Ballinrobe. John and his quiz cohorts are great supporters of our quizzes, our weekly Lotto, and, indeed, our club teams. So we are urging club members to turn out in large numbers to support their quiz.

At tonight’s Executive Committee meeting, votes of congratulations were passed to Willie Culkeen, on his appointment as Principal of Ballinrobe Community School, and Maurice Horan, on his success in managing Limerick to the National Football League Division Four title. There’s a very strong club connection here. Martin Farragher and Michael Ansbro both play with the club and have done so for many years. Ailise Burke comes from a very strong GAA family – her father Billy is a former Mayo intermediate football championship winner with the club, and has been actively involved in the club all his life.
